There is Validity in Going With Your Gut!
Ok ok — you know how we like to keep it, real with no bull sh$t on the side. We keep that promise to ourselves, and we owe it to you. Sooooo… don’t go eye-rolling at the title of this piece and certainly don’t let it keep you from diving deep into the importance and validity that going with your gut has on your life.
We heard it before and we’ll hear it again — it’s filler statements that assist when someone cannot find the right thing to say, there is no right or wrong way to go, or our confidant wants us to take accountability for a decision we are about to make. It’s a promise statement, to ourselves — to the uncertainty ahead…it’s saying “I tried my best with what I had”. It’s an instinct, something that cannot be taught in a moment — yet is a product of all of our moments. It is vulnerable because it is us.

Let’s clear one thing up — going with your gut AND reacting off of emotion are two very different behaviors. One puts us on a path that we feel in the depths of our soul, the other — leaves us wishing there was a rewind button or an eraser to take back the reactive behavior.
